Julia believes relationships built on trust, dependability and professionalism are the cornerstone of her business.

Julia graduated from Wittenberg University with a Bachelor of Arts in laboratory medicine/biology degree. After spending 17 years in the medical industry, the last 12 as the clinical laboratory supervisor for the Venice offices of Florida Cancer Specialists, Julia pursued her lifelong dream of working in the financial field. While in college, Julia became interested in the stock markets but her father discouraged her by telling her it was a man’s world. As her father’s health deteriorated, she knew her mother was going to need guidance making investment decisions, so she decided to pursue her dream.

Julia came to Raymond James because of its emphasis on financial planning. In 2004, she obtained her Certified Divorce Finan- cial Analyst designation through The Institute For Divorce Financial Analysts. In 2009, she was awarded the designation of CERTI- FIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional after completing the education, experience, ethics and examination requirements.

Julia is very engaged with the community of Venice. She is actively involved with the Venice-Nokomis Rotary Club where she served as the president for the Rotary year 2013-2014. She holds various other positions in the club at this time. Julia is also a member of the advisory commitee for the Robert & Joan Lee Branch of the Boys & Girls Club in Venice. Through the years she has served as an ambassador for the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce, the Giving Matters committee of the American Fundraising Professionals, the advisory committee for the Loveland Center in Venice and helped organize fundraising events for All Faiths Food Bank.

Julia and her husband, Jim, have lived in Venice for over 30 years with their two children. In her free time she enjoys reading, bicycling and other outdoor activities.
